Lync Status is going to "Away" and not getting synchronized back to the actual status

Hi,

Outlook 2010 and Lync 2010 are installed in my machine. I developed an application which will be running in machine as a background app and retrieving meeting information of the logged in user from Exchange Server. I am using EWS service to get this information with the help of AUTODISCOVER api call.

Post my application installation, Lync status' are not getting updated with respect to Outlook and its always set to Away status. Killing my application in Task Manager resetting the Lync status and not sure whether my exchange server call is making any issues with these status synchronization.

Any help would be greatly appreciated in understanding and resolving this issue. Thanks.

Hi VinothSundaram,

You can try to use the Process Monitor tool to capture the Lync event on your machine and check how Lync changes its status.
